What is abeceda bosanska?

"Abeceda bosanska" or "Bosnian Alphabet" is a writing system that was developed in the early 19th century by Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) linguist and lexicographer Muhamed Hevaji Uskufi Bosnevi. It is based on the Arabic script and includes 30 letters, with an additional 5 letters added in the 20th century to represent certain sounds in the Bosnian language.

The Abeceda bosanska was designed to write the Bosnian language, which at the time was primarily spoken by Bosniaks. It became widely used in Bosniak literature and publications in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and was later adopted by other Bosnian ethnic groups, including Bosnian Croats and Bosnian Serbs.

The Abeceda bosanska was largely replaced by the Latin and Cyrillic scripts during the 20th century, but it remains an important part of Bosniak cultural heritage and is still used by some Bosniak writers and scholars today. It is also taught in some schools and universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the country's cultural and linguistic heritage.
